Since the time I published my first book, Gadgets & Gurus, A Lighter Look at Enlightenment in 1999, I’ve been told that I was an artist. Since I wouldn’t know which end of the paint brush to hold, I didn’t perceive myself as a member of that club. From 1999 until I fled Orlando to enjoy a preferred life here on the space coast in 2013, I produced two more books, one children’s book and one book of side-by-side prose and poetry. When I moved to 8th St., South in Cocoa Beach in 2013 my writing became exclusively poetry which turned into another seven books, four poetry books and three children’s books. All the children’s books are derived from my poetry, a celebration of the ocean and all of the life lessons that she and her creatures have to teach us. In 2018 I asked an artist to create an image for “Painting The World With Words.”That was a testimony to my acceptance of the title of artist.
